The Wahl 4290-300 is a Deep Tissue Percussion Massager. Percussion means that it extends and withdraws the tip, creating a “hammering” type of feeling that pulsates into your muscle tissue. This specific model has up to 3350 pulses every minute.
The machine has many different intensity settings. If 3350 pulses per minute is too much for you, you can decrease the intensity to fit your comfort level. Some people like it intense, others like it less intense.
One of the really nice things about the massager is that it comes with 4 different attachments. One is the four-finger flex that is meant to imitate the soft touch of human fingers. Another is the flat disc which is extra wide and supposed to target larger muscle areas. The third attachment is the acupoint which concentrates the pulses into a pointed tip that can reach deep into the tissue and work those tight knots. The fourth attachment is the deep muscle which is balanced, smooth and rounded and can be used for all parts of your body.
The ergonomically designed handle relieves the stress on your wrists and makes it more comfortable to hold this in the hand while it hammers away in thousands of pulses each minute.
Use it on your back, shoulders, legs, arms, and feet. With all the different attachments you can use it to massage your entire body. Can help to relieve stress, soreness, stiffness, and even chronic pain.
This could be a nice little device to go to for relief for anyone with arthritis, fibromyalgia, joint pain or sports injuries.

Basically, the Wahl 4290-300 is a powerful, versatile and affordable handheld massager that comes with several attachments and intensity settings. The drawback is that it only offers percussion and no shiatsu, and some customers report that the product is great, while others report it breaking and not working after some time due to some low quality plastic parts.
We can speculate that perhaps either the quality control is not good enough to ensure that all parts for all massagers are durable and high quality, or the design and build quality needs to be improved. By being an electric corded machine, you get the benefits of good power. However, only an 8 feet cord restricts you a bit and you have to stay close to an outlet to use it.
